Whether you are interested in getting cosmetic procedures or in pursuing aesthetics, this question is of substantial importance. This ensures that you are either getting the certified support you need or you qualify to perform these procedures!

Generally, licensed nurses (RN and LPN), PA's, dermatologists, and dentists are allowed to perform cosmetic procedures. Each provider may vary in what they specialize; therefore, the procedures offered at a clinic may be completely different.

When researching about the procedure you want performed, be sure to check whether or not your provider provides such services!

Recommendations for those wanting procedures:

In order to ensure your treatment provider is well-qualified, always book a consultation! It never hurts to develop more confidence in the person you're trusting your skin and body with! Some questions to keep in mind, but are not limited to include:

  • How many of such procedures have they performed before

  • What qualifiations and trainings have they received

  • What happens if you are not satified with the results

Again, you may ask anything you are eager to learn about!

The practioner should also be able to tell you exactly the procedure process, timing, recovery, risks, complications that may be involved.

However, each place varies in its policies of who can practice aesthetics. Therefore, it is definitely recommended to conduct research on your own to determine whether you are certified to perform or whether your provider is qualified!
